Panda Express is a famous American fast food chain in the United States. They are known for their American-Chinese cuisine. With more than 2,300 stores, it is considered the largest Asian segment chain in the US and is mainly located in Asia and North America.

The company was founded by a Chinese-born American billionaire Andrew Cherng and also an American Billionaire businesswoman Peggy Cherng. Andrew went to the United States with his father to do some business in 1973. In Pasadena, California they opened their first Panda Inn restaurant.

Panda Express has been traditionally limited to malls but opened its first stand-alone restaurant a few years ago. They also sell at many locations outside the US, such as universities, casinos, airports, and military bases.

The restaurant offers a wide range of American-Chinese dishes, including orange chicken and sweet fire chicken breast, grilled teriyaki chicken, Kung Pao chicken, and Beijing beef. There are also other premium dishes you could try, including honey walnut shrimp and black pepper Angus steak.

The ABC News TV show Nightline had a feature on Panda Express and its success in 2011. One of the quotes from Andrew Cherng was that he encourages his staff to go through self-help programs focusing on Landmark Education. Panda Express opened its first location in the west by opening a location in the American territory of Guam. In December 2015, the first location in Alaska was also opened.

The Panda Restaurant Group has been doing well, recently announcing annual sales of over $3 billion and nearly 39,000 employees as of 2017. The Cherng family also opened the Panda Innovation Kitchen in Pasadena with Andrea Cherng overseeing operations.

Panda Innovation Kitchen is for experimenting with new ingredients, which allows them to come up with new menu items. They are also now selling food and drink in their tea bars like Boba milk tea and Fortune Cookie Shake. The company also offers healthy options for those people who are on a diet.
